I was booking an appointment over the weekend and I realised that we are already at the end of Q1 2019! It's the end of March. How is that even possible? I swear it felt like only a few weeks ago that we were celebrating NYE (naturally for us that meant we were at home enjoying a quiet evening with a toddler, which is really it's just another day ending in "Y" for our family, but c'mon guys!)

Anyway, it made me think about my own goals and how fast the year is flying. It got me thinking if I was on track with what I wanted to achieve for myself by this point in the year, so I took a step back and had a look at whether or not I needed to make any changes in order for that to happen.

We're all human and It's incredibly easy for things to get pushed back when you're busy and time poor, but if they are detrimental to your business then you really need to make the time in order for you to move forward, right? Right!

So here are my 5 tips on setting your goals and making sure that you crush them!

1. Set realistic goals
This is obviously my first tip because if your goal isn't realistic then the remainder of my tips are absolutely redundant! The key is to have realistic goals. I mean, i'd love to make $1,000,000 by the end of the year, but that ain't gonna happen!

2. Track your goals
Again, it's so easy to become distracted with work and life that you forget about tracking your goals. If you're an app person, then there are TONS of apps available for you to use - but I think just having weekly reminders on tracking your goals in your calendar and seeing where you are at is just fine too.

3. Break your goal into mini-goals
For some people, once setting a goal for yourself everything can become super overwhelming. But if you break down your goal into daily or weekly mini-goals/daily or weekly wins, then it doesn't seem too daunting after all.

4. Delegate, delegate, delegate!
Sometimes we just don't have the time to achieve our goals and there's nothing wrong in getting an extra pair of hands on board to help get it done (and get it done right).

5. Reassess you goals
Circumstances are constantly changing so make sure what you're working on still relevant for your business. Don't just work on it because you said you would.
